Ok, so I need help finding a song for a video I'm making. I rarely vid this way, I almost always have the song first... that's usually what inspires the idea for the vid. But this time I've got an idea and I don't have a song.

I'm not going to tell the fandom(s) or specifics of the vid, but I need something ANGSTY... go figure. A vague overview... it's about two people in a relationship, and one of them ends up falling for someone else... with the slight possibility of things turning violent after that happens.

Any ideas? You would think with the 6000 songs I have here I could find something suitable, but I cannot... And sorry for those of you who are reading this multiple times, as I'm also posting it on Reverie and Myspace. I need all the suggestions I can get!

When he's not screwing his brains out with some random lay-of-the-week, he's being best buds with Sean. I love their chemistry. I prefer Christian in bastard mode, not when he's all emotional and shit... lol.

9. The Office (U.S.) - (JIM HALPERT - Guessed by realdetective) LOL, gotta love the jimface. He's my favorite guy, and it was REALLY hard to choose a favorite character overall. I'm such a Jam fan, I squee every time they are together. And then I chug a beer and crush the can on my forehead to reclaim my manliness.

So I'm all excited right now, I FINALLY got a laptop! I've been needing one for awhile for school and work, so I finally decided to buy one after months of shopping around.

Here's my question... What program is best for burning AVI files to DVD? My desktop doesn't have a DVD burner, so I've never had the option to do so. Now I can finally get some of these movies and tv shows I've got on here onto DVD! Any suggestions would be great! I wanna be able to burn this stuff and watch it on my regular DVD player. Thanks in advance!

I am sitting in my Relational Database class and I want to impale myself on the corner of the desk. It sucks ass so bad. This semester is seriously going to kick my ass.

I've got 4 classes (Relational Databases - MS SQL and Oracle, E-Commerce, Javascript and Ajax, and Server Side Scripting). I think I am seriously going to have to ask to cut my hours some at work because this homework load is going to get overwhelming fast.

And now she is letting us go early so fucking-A!!! ... I'm outta here... :)

That's all I have left until the end of the semester, and I can't fricking wait. I'm off from work tomorrow(thank god), so I have to buckle down and finish my last project for one of my Web classes... I'm so ready to have a month off, I'm so burnt out. I think I definitely took on way too much this semester with school, working full time and my web clients...

Speaking of which, I will be spending my entire break between semesters working on the website for the architecture firm, which should be pretty cool. I've also got to finally get around to doing my Secret Santa gift for Reverie's Holiday. And I just got a desire to start about the hundredth vid I've wanted to start this year that won't be done... We'll see how far I get though :)

So now I'll be working full time, going to school full time, finding time for homework, spending time with Jennifer and designing sites for two web clients!!

Hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!! I'll be thinking of you all as I'm sitting in my Programming class until 10 o'clock. :( Sucks to be me, yes I know...

On a positive note, I'm a little closer to getting a new web client (an architecture firm in Springfield!) I actually don't think I've mentioned my web design on LJ yet. I'm almost finished with a site for a local art studio, which has gone *relatively* smoothly.

OHHHH!!! And I found this to be pretty funny. In my web class last night, the teacher was talking about multimedia... She said our Lab was going to be something new and exciting, and then she asked if any of us had ever used Windows Movie Maker? I actually lol-ed, and she gave me a funny look. So I have an excuse to vid now!! It's for homework! I'm thinking I'll do the Lost vidlet I started ages ago using Vegas (she was all impressed that I have Vegas and Premiere)...I'm still too frightened to do anything with Premiere yet! :) So if I can spare some time this weekend, I might have a new vid for next week! If not then I'll just throw together some shitty photo slideshow, which would suffice to get a good grade.

So I'm officially bored with Heroes. Tonight's episode was just another in a string of disappointments for me. I absolutely HATE Hiro in Feudal Japan, he needs to teleport his ass back to the future! I like David Anders and all, mostly from Sark memories from Alias, but I just wish things would go *somewhere*

Claire's continued surprise this season at her abilities is dumb... She's all "oh wow, I can regenerate!" Didn't you figure that out last year? Lame. And so is West, that kid bugs me.

I am even missing Nikki, it's so sad she's only getting a few scenes here and there. Sylar is so not threatening anymore, so hopefully we'll get some Mylar action going soon.

And don't even start with the Peter amnesia storyline. Amnesia is so frickin cliched yet shows continue to go down that road. It's boring. We know who you are, and we want you to know too... I'm keeping my hopes high that ~~Veronica Mars~~ Kristen Bell will keep me interested in Season Two. Her one episode so far was my favorite, just because she was in it pretty much.

Sophomore slump indeed.

Car Accidents, Money and Homework...

Those are three things that have been occupying all my time as of late and it really sucks.

Jennifer (my wife) was in a car accident and we are finally settling with the other driver's insurance company after almost a month of bullshit.  Tomorrow will be our last day of carpooling everywhere (thank god)... We go pick up her new-ish car tomorrow.

Money, money, money, where are you??  My fortune cookie last week said something about "Riches shining upon me soon..." Well I'm still waiting, I wish riches would hurry their ass up and get here.

And it's 1AM now and I've been up doing homework all night and I have to get up in 4 hours to start what feels like my hundredth 18 hour day in a row... Gahh....

Yeah, I never meant to blow off Live Journal all summer but it happened and that sucks... Fall semester started today so between two jobs and a full classload I doubt I'll have much time for fun stuff like vidding :(

It shows Buffy's emotional breakdown at the end of Season 2 and how it forces her to leave town and start over in Los Angeles.

So my wife sucked me into the American Idol Frenzy this year and after last night's results I am officially pissed off. Melinda deserves to win much more than the two finalists (Jordin and Blake) and she got the boot.

This is just further proof that America votes based on looks and marketability. So instead of a great singer like Melinda, the winner will most likely end up being Jodin... And she will become this typical cookie cutter pop star.

Two weeks left...

So there are less than two weeks left in this semester and I am seriously getting my ass kicked with work. It's crazy that all these professors wait until the last minute with shit, they know how busy this time of year is. Grr...

Vidding is definitely on hold until after school ends in a few weeks. I bought a nice 250gb external hard drive today to get me in the mood for a vidding frenzy. In my busy non-computer time I've been ripping episodes of Nip/Tuck and BSG (just ripping, not clipping yet). I've got so many ideas churning in my head, I cannot wait to sit down and spend some time on them.

In addition to at least 1 Nip/Tuck video and the possibly resurrected BSG video, I've got one of my most ambitious projects slated for summer. I'm heading back to Buffy, yes indeed. And it will be one of those must-watch-every-episode to get all the right clips vids. On top of that, it will be my first AU video. I am super excited about it!

My site is up at it's new home with a new layout, and the final round awards were posted! I'm happy with it all, I've gotten a great response from everyone!

So now that I've procrastinated even more (I have 3 projects due in 8 days that I haven't even started), I'm off. And you probably won't see anything from me again until school is out. Wish me luck!

Uhh... I am in a foul mood today. I don't know why either, I just woke up crabby. And I've got two frackin Excel spreadsheet assignments due tonight that I'm putting off until the last minute. God I hate busy work.

The vidding isn't going so well. I've officially pulled the plug on my Battlestar video, which saddens me to no end. I need to find a different song. The vid was going to be an episodic to Lay Down Your Burdens 1 and 2, set to A Perfect Circle's "Counting Bodies Like Sheep." The main reason I've decided to stop this one is because that song has been vidded quite a few times, and much better than I would have done it... So new song for Battlestar video needed! I have seasons 2-3, so I'm trying to decide on a plan of action...

My Nip/Tuck video, which was 90% done has also been chucked to the side. Basically I'm starting over with the same song, except I'll be using Vegas instead of Magix Movie Edit Pro. I recently decided to enter Reverie's Style Contest and what I've done so far in Vegas I love, so I think it's gonna be strictly Vegas for me from now on. So I've got a bunch of clips to rerip, and the N/T video should fall into place fairly quickly... But everything depends on how much free time I have, which isn't much as of late.

I am about halfway through making the awards for my final round at BOTN. I curse myself for wanting to make them personalized AND animated... Also in the process of making a new layout for the site, so lots going on with no time to finish one single thing. Uhh...

I'm so frustrated right now. And hungry, so I'm going to find something to eat ;)

Freaking real life distractions!

When I created this LJ account, I swore that I would update it and try to be productive, but alas, real world distractions keep getting in the way. I have been on a homework spree the last 3-4 days, it's insane. I stayed up two nights in a row to get all this shit done and I am EXHAUSTED. I'm starting to catch up on my sleep, but being so damn tired is taking away my creative drive.

I'm about 85% done with my Nip/Tuck video, but again, no time to work on it. I have to make the awards for the final round at Bring on the Night, but again... Grr... I hate it when I spread myself so thin. Hopefully in the next week I will be able to post something (N/T vid is my first priority right now).

Also, go check out my friend TXLsplash's new video "God Says Nothing Back." It's amazing, and if you're a BtVS/Angel fan, you'll love it!

I'm off to class now, hurray :(

Lay Down Your Burdens

So I guess I should post on here, even though no one will be reading this I'm sure. ;) But why, really if the sole person reading this will be me? Uhhh... I'm so tired. I was up til 2:30 am working on homework, and then a bit on the Nip/Tuck video. I am hoping to have the video finished by Friday. I keep saying to myself that I'll finish it, and then I push it back a few days. I did receive lots of helpful feedback from Destiny, and I'm incorporating it into the vid. So I'm saying that it will be posted by Friday. Here's hoping.

And after I'm finished with Nip/Tuck, I will be moving back to the Battlestar video. I put the vid on hold, mostly because I was stuck, and also because quite a few Reverie members have posted AWESOME BSG vids lately. I really don't want to get lost in the mix, I'm trying to work SO hard on this. I'll probably be starting up with it again next week, time permitting (freaking school and work!) and who knows how long it'll take me to finish. I really hope I can make it better than my usual mediocre-ness. It will be the first vid I've made entirely using Vegas, so we'll see!

So I figured I'd finally join LJ, even though I'm sure I'll start slacking on the entries. I'm sick right now, trying to get over a cold/flu/sinus infection, which sucks ass. I've gotta go to class in 3 hours, and I'm not looking forward to that. This class has got to seriously be the most boring 3 hours ever, but I have to take it for my major... Actually I could have waited til then to post, it would've given me something to do!

As far as being creative, and all that jazz... I'm in the process of finishing my first Nip/Tuck video. It's a Season Three Carver/Angsty Christian vid, and I can't wait to post it! It's being beta-ed right now, so hopefully soon I'll have something to share.

I'm also getting ready to start judging the final round of video awards at my site, Bring on the Night (http://www.freewebs.com/ck2110/). I'm pretty excited about it, but it's gonna be so damn hard to judge with all the awesome entries I've received!

Yeah... so I think that's enough for the first post. I'm gonna actually do some homework now, try to be productive for a change ;)
